Based on Decree N01-164 (December 8, 2025) of the President of East-West University, an open academic competition was announced at the School of Business and Technologies to fill 43 academic positions:

• Professor – 7 positions;
• Associate Professor – 14 positions;
• Assistant Professor – 22 positions.

To ensure a transparent selection process, a Competition Commission was established by Presidential Decree N01-180 (December 24, 2025), consisting of: Giorgi Naskidashvili (Chair), Natia Zedginidze-Jishkariani, Avtandil Gagnidze, Khatuna Saganelidze, and Lia Obgaidze.

Competition Timeline

Phase I: The Human Resources and Records Management Office submitted 44 applications for review. Following a documentary evaluation, 38 candidates advanced to the interview stage.

Phase II: Interviews were conducted on January 20-21, 2026. The commission assessed the candidates’ academic achievements, research background, and administrative experience. Thirty-five (35) candidates successfully passed the interview stage.

Additionally, two candidates were recommended for future scientific collaboration, and one candidate was recommended for a visiting lecturer position.

Final Approval

By Presidential Decree N01-10 on January 26, 2026, the successful candidates were officially appointed to their respective academic positions. The final list of winners was published on the University’s official website on January 27, 2026.
